 Guide to Translation
Wednesday, January 7, 2009

The Getting Started Guide to Translation will be an independently bound supplement in the October/November 2008 issue of MultiLingual. It will also be posted at http://www.multilingual.com/gsg, and ads will feature active links.

Editorial

Tim Altanero, a localization professor at Austin Community College, is providing an article about the different types of translation. Dena Bugel-Shunra of Shunra Media will write about common mistakes and what translators should not do. George Rimalower, CEO, ISI Language Services, takes a look at the basics of translating for US markets. Jost Zetzsche, co-founder of International Writers’ Group and TM Marketplace, will contribute an overview on translation technology.

Advertising

Two types of ads are available

  • Showcase ads - These ads appear in the Showcase section, and we do the production at no charge. These are 1/6 page (2.4" x 4.7") ads which follow an established format. All you need to do is complete this form and e-mail your logo. We'll do the rest and send a proof. The cost is $525.

  • Display ads - Ad sizes range from a 1/6 page for $800 to a full page for $4,400. Download ad specifications.

All advertisers will also receive a line listing in a special section of the Buyer's Guide in the April/May issue of the magazine.
